The art of the automobile in the last century has been influenced by
the designs of Sauotchik, Earl, Darrin, Pininfarina and others too
numerous to mention. The ability to obtain a one of a kind car
was lost in the early 1940's.
The
late 40's and early 50's welcomed a renewed interest in custom cars
from
the garages of Barris, Infield, Hines and others.
Individuality sets these automobiles apart and binds them together
with their sculpted lines and fabricated curves.
As the evolution continues the American Muscle cars of Chrysler,
Ford and General Motors with the introduction of the Mustang, Camaro
and the
Charger have also added their influence. Today's designers are
carrying on the tradition into the 21st Century.
